Who I Am

I’m James. I work in cybersecurity with a focus on offensive security, penetration testing, and Active Directory abuse paths. My day-to-day work spans both defensive and offensive cyber operations, with an emphasis on understanding how real environments fail under pressure.

Most of my time outside formal assessments is spent building depth through hands-on labs, CTFs, and adversary-style exercises. I care less about tools in isolation and more about how techniques chain together in practice.

What This Site Is

Lenk n Logs is my technical notebook.

This site exists to:

  • Document CTF and lab walkthroughs
  • Capture Active Directory attack paths and misconfigurations
  • Record tooling behavior and tradecraft
  • Serve as a long-term reference for real-world testing scenarios

Everything here is written from a practitioner’s perspective. The focus is on what actually works, where things break, and why those failures matter.

Scope and Ethos

All content on this site is:

  • Educational in nature
  • Performed in authorized lab or testing environments
  • Focused on learning and technical clarity

The goal is repeatability and understanding, not exploitation for harm or noise for attention.

Certifications

The following certifications represent formal training and validation alongside the hands-on work documented on this site.
